Holy crap, town burned down last night.. (well part of it)

Around 2am last night a tire place caught on fire and pretty much burned to the ground, but there are still a few parts of the walls standing. The place had a small building behind it full of oxygen tanks for welding or something, and of course those caused a massive explosion. My boss's daughter got a brick through her passenger side window from the explosions and she lives about 5 or 6 blocks away. The library started to catch fire but they were able to put it out before it got very bad. I hate it that the place burned down, I was going to go there Saturday for my free tire rotation =/

Not much going on, today I only worked until noon which was nice. Came home and messed around on the computer, playing euchre on yahoo mostly (look for me as jimmius_pagius.. I'm usually in one of the intermediate lounges if you play there). Finally decided to start reading some books again, I'm bored with the games that my computer can actually run and euchre is actually starting to lose its fun. I started Timeline by Michael Crichton last night and am about 75 pages into it. It looks like it's going to be a great book, so far anyway. I also ordered a used copy of Stephen King's The Gunslinger, book one of the Dark Tower series. I've heard a lot of people raving about this series so I figured I might as well try it (it was only $0.99 + shipping). Anyways, gotta work from 10am-6pm tomorrow. Got about 12 shirts for the Fourth of July festival we have here to make. One of them is even for the governor of Indiana, Joe Kernan who is coming down for the parade on the 5th(largest parade in Indiana). Until tomorrow(hopefully, if I can remember to post), laters.

What a day.

Sorry for no post yesterday, as soon as I got home from work I went over to a friend's house to see if he wanted to go fishing. I hadn't been fishing in about 2 years and dug out my tackle box, found my fishing pole, picked up some nightcrawlers, etc.. Called up a few more friends and they came too, we went to one friend's grandparent's house and I caught a bluegill about 5 inches long. We didn't really like the poison ivy everywhere so we went to one of the guys's house to fish in his pond. Caught a few croppie, roasted hot dogs and called it a night. Had the worst headache I've had in a a while too. Woke up this morning and still felt sick so I took some Advil Migraine (stuff works better than anything else I've tried) and went back to sleep and went into work at 10am. Long day, had to digitize 3 logos that took about and hour-hour and a half each to do.

Went over to a friends house last night after we got through fishing and I think he's got me back playing Ultima Online :( I made a vow never to touch the game again, I knew I should have thrown away the discs when I quit last time. Ah well, hopefully the addiction won't be as severe this time =/

38 under par and 5 hole-in-ones in his first golf game ever?? Crazy Koreans...

So I was bored at work today and was watching the Wimbledon on ESPN. After it was over I decided to watch Around the Horn and Pardon the Inturruption and they started talking about this Korean guy, Kim Jong II, whose best game of golf(supposedly) is a 34. That's on eighteen holes and not nine. Turns out he got 5 hole in ones too. And, get this, this was the first time he'd ever played golf. Apparently the guy is a little prone to lying and cheating and not too many people like him. I have a hard time believing this because I've been playing golf for 3 years and still have yet to get a single hole in one. One of my friends who will probably go on to play the PGA tour came 5 strokes away from breaking the course record here the other day and he too still has yet to get a hole in one.

Worked from 10am-5:30pm today, and tried Red Bull for the first time this morning. WOW, I've never been so wired in my life. I wish it lasted longer than an hour though, around 11am I was dead and felt like I could just lay over the counter and go to sleep. Got to check into buying this stuff by the case...

Now I know why I quit baseball in 3rd grade...

I went with my dad and my sister(softball pitcher) to help field balls and man, what a workout. Maybe I'm just used to staying around inside watching DVDs when I'm not working but I'm still tired from it. Or I could just be out of shape =/

I'm going to see Fahrenheit 9/11 tomorrow hopefully. I kinda liked Bowling for Columbine so I'm thinking this might be kind of interesting. On a side note Michael Moore looks a lot like the fat tennis coach here. BTW, Andy, you are an asshat.

Got to head back to work at 10am tomorrow morning till 6pm, so I'll probably finish off tonight watching The Pianist and Panic Room. To anyone who likes WW2 type movies (not necessarily war movies) I would highly recommend The Pianist. Excellent movie. Fish for supper, laters.

Another hard day's work

Okay, here's a little background info on me. I work in a sporting goods store along with about 3-4 other people. It's a pretty small, locally owned place and not only do we sell sporting goods equipment we do custom t-shirts, team orders, and custom embroidery (my job at $5.75/hour). I've been working there the longest of anyone(about 2 years) besides the owner.

The guy that owns the store bought it a few years ago and last year decided to run for mayor of the town. He won. He's gotten a bit of a big head since he won and hardly ever comes in the store anymore. He just got back from a week long trip to Seattle for mayor business and before stepping foot in the store he leaves on a 4 day golf trip to Valhalla. Yep, must be nice being the mayor.

WTH i'm doing tonight - Watching The Pianist and either Panic Room or The Good, The Bad and The Ugly again and going to eat at La Fiesta (el mexicano restaurant here. enchiladas = teh win).
